Last week, I unexpectedly received a nice little bonus at work. That, in combination with my birthday being this past weekend, was motivation enough for my wife and I to go out and purchase a few new bottles to add to our shelf. Our collection may be small, but I believe in quality over quantity. Here is what we have for the time-being:
- Willett Bourbon
- Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban
- Cragganmore 12 Year Old
- The Glenrothes
- Auchentoshan Classic
- Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old
- Ardbeg Uigeadail
- Redbreast 12 Year Old
- Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old
What’s on your shelf right now? Let me know in the comments below.

I’m glad to see that you have the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban on your shelf, rather than the Lasanta. With age comes wisdom. The Cragganmore 12 and Glenrothes Select Reserve NAS are #1 and #2 on my Speyside next-to-try list. You’ll have to write a review of the Auchentoshan Classic. I haven’t seen many positive reviews of the Lowland single malts.
Best regards,
Chuck
