What’s on Your Shelf? (Part 4 – New Year’s Eve Edition)

Whiskey Collection December 2014Today is New Year’s Eve, which means most of us either have our shelves stocked, or are planning to mooch off of somebody who does.  Whatever the case may be, I thought I would share what’s on my shelf as we prepare to welcome the New Year.

What’s currently taking up space on your shelf, and (more importantly) what will you be ringing in the New Year with tonight?

Good evening, Ryan and Happy New Year to you & Sarah,

That’s quite the eclectic collection of whiskies on your shelf – the only one still on my Favorites list is the Glenlivet 15. Many brands on your shelf are not available in the ME or NH agency liquor stores – things like Allens Coffee Flavored Brandy and Black Velvet Canadian Whisky take up too much shelf space.

The top of Susan’s china cabinet currently contains her Jim Beam & W.L. Weller Special Reserve bourbon, along with my Aberfeldy 12 & Lagavulin 16 single malts, Haig Dimple Pinch 15 blended scotch, Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel Irish whiskey, and Russell’s Reserve single barrel, Wild Turkey 101 and Old Forester bourbon.

On New Year’s Day, I propose to take a trip either down south to Portsmouth NH or west to Conway NH to peruse the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet store shelves for Tullibardine Sovereign NAS, Balvenie Single Barrel 12, Glen Moray 16, and Craigellachie 13 single malt scotch whiskies, and Greenore 8 single grain, The Irishman NAS single malt, Clontarf 1014, and Teeling NAS blended Irish whiskies.

Bliadhna Mhath Ùr (Happy New Year),

    Chuck
